Publication Frequency

Nursing Frontiers Research and Practice is committed to maintaining a consistent and transparent publication schedule to ensure academic reliability, editorial efficiency, and international visibility. The journal is published biannually, with two issues released each year in March and August, following a structured editorial workflow designed to meet international publishing standards.

To enhance scholarly impact and align with best practices adopted by reputable international journals, each issue follows a clearly defined publication timeline that includes manuscript submission, editorial screening, peer review, revision, copyediting, and online publication. Articles are accepted throughout the year under a continuous submission system, allowing manuscripts to enter the editorial process immediately after submission without waiting for a specific call period.

The journal applies an online-first publication strategy whenever possible. Accepted manuscripts that have completed peer review and editorial preparation may be published online ahead of the scheduled issue to accelerate knowledge dissemination and increase citation potential. This approach supports global accessibility while maintaining issue-based archiving for indexing purposes.

Each volume aims to publish high-quality, peer-reviewed articles that reflect rigorous academic standards and contribute to the advancement of research and practice. The editorial board ensures that publication frequency remains stable, predictable, and sustainable, which is a critical criterion for international indexing databases and Scopus Q1-level journal governance.

In line with international ethical publishing practices, the journal continuously monitors submission trends, reviewer availability, and editorial capacity. When submission volume increases significantly, the journal may gradually expand article capacity per issue while preserving quality control and peer-review integrity. Any future changes to publication frequency will be announced transparently through the journal website to maintain accountability to authors, reviewers, and readers worldwide.
