Employee Well-Being During Remote Work Era: The Predictive Role of E-Work Self-Efficacy

The shift to remote and hybrid work settings has brought challenges that may impact employees’ psychological well-being. E-work self-efficacy, or belief in one’s ability to complete work tasks effectively through digital systems, has become an essential psychological resource. Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of e-work self-efficacy on workplace well-being among employees working remotely or in hybrid models. Method: A quantitative, cross-sectional design was used with an online survey. Data were collected from 110 employees selected through convenience sampling. The instruments included the E-Work Self-Efficacy Scale and the Workplace Well-Being Scale. Results: Simple linear regression analysis showed a significant positive relationship between e-work self-efficacy and workplace well-being (r = 0.454; p < 0.01), with an effective contribution of 20.6%. E-skills self-efficacy had the highest contribution, while remote emotional self-efficacy had the lowest. Conclusion: E-work self-efficacy is an important factor influencing employee well-being, highlighting the need for digital skills training and psychosocial support in remote work environments.
