UTILIZATION OF COMPANIONS IN DETECTING PREGNANCY RISK FACTORS AND EFFORTS TO PREVENT COMPLICATIONS DURING LABOR

This research was conducted in Melaya Village, Melaya District, Jembrana Regency, the working area of the Melaya I Community Health Center. This research was conducted in May 2021-June 2024. Melaya Village is plains and hills or mountains, namely 133 Ha is plains and 337 Ha is hills/mountains, and located at an altitude of 350 m above sea level. The Melaya village community still adheres to Balinese culture and is exposed to cultural assimilation from outside Bali. Judging from the existing culture and distribution of the population as well as the number of pregnant women of higher age compared to other villages, researchers are interested in conducting research in Melaya village, Melaya District, Jembrana Regency.
In this research, researchers used descriptive quantitative research, which aims to determine the level of knowledge of pregnant women about the high risk of pregnancy. The population in this study was all pregnant women in Melaya village with a total of 38 pregnant women in May-June 2024. The number of samples used in this study was 35 pregnant women which was obtained from the sample size formula. The tool used in collecting data uses a questionnaire.
The data is processed and analyzed in accordance with the research objectives, the results of data analysis are presented in table form. From the research results on Pregnant Women's Knowledge about High Risk Pregnancies Based on Demographic Characteristics, it can be discussed that mothers' knowledge about high risk pregnancies is still lacking. This can be related to the education of pregnant women which is still relatively low. The husband's knowledge about high-risk pregnancies is very much needed because knowledge about high-risk pregnancies is very important for forming the mother's attitude in understanding the risks that will arise in pregnancy.
